Our mission
Celebrate Savannah through something simple and unforgettable.
Using ice pops as the art form, Savannah Square Pops celebrates Savannah—one square, one bite at a time, with ingredients that never get treated like an afterthought.
Our story
Judd spent decades working alongside attorneys before becoming one himself. Mark spent his career in IT. Both agreed it was time for a change.
After Judd tasted an extraordinary pop at a company picnic, the two bought a pop-making kit, determined to recreate that flavor. That small experiment grew into a move to Savannah and a shop of their own.
They tasted their way across the Southeast, developed recipes in their kitchen, and even completed a stint at “Popsicle University.” What began as a shared obsession became a mission to make real, handmade, ridiculously good ice pops for historic Savannah, the city that had become home.
Our process
It starts with Savannah. The historic squares inspired the original menu. Initially, they started out with one pop for each square, taking almost a year to develop 22 flavors. They taste, adjust, and taste again until a pop earns its place. (We can’t help but wonder if there’s talk about adding more squares to keep up with Mark’s passion for developing new flavors!)
The philosophy is the best and the least—use the best ingredients and the fewest of them. Some recipes get extra attention just because they can: a whole Oreo in Cookies & Cream, a kiwi slice suspended in Strawberry Kiwi, or chocolate and pretzel coating the Salted Caramel.
